I usually work in acrylic and oil paintings. sometimes experimenting with resin 

I am  happy to create a unique, original artwork for you from a photo reference or perhaps just a guide on size and a palette of your favourite  colours you may have in mind.

My wife and I live in the Kaipara, Dargaville and have six children between us, my wife also is very creative making flax kete and natural balms ,which you can enquire about at three rivers flax on facebook , she  also is a keen gardener.

I currently belong to Mangawhai arts as we have no gallery currently available in our town.

 I like to paint loose in an impressionist style.

I am open to experimenting in lots of different styles for instance more sombre or  muted tones either abstract or skys perhaps

Van Gogh and Matisse are two of my favourite master artists. I have done several reproductions including the famous Cafe on the Terrace and Starry Nights or Matisse window scenes which have sold.

After a diving accident at 20 years old leaving me tetriplegic with limited movement in my arms and hands I joined wheelchair rugby and travelled all over the world.

We were very fortunate to win gold in athens for wheelchair rugby.

Since retiring from wheelchair sports in 2004, I have taken many different art courses online and in person and have belonged to many art co-ops.

Art really is my passion its the reason I  get out of bed in the morning looking forward to creating and growing as an artist both in technique and quality

,I also like the fact I can paint independently with no help so it gives me a sense of pride.

You will see some short choppy l brushstrokes combining with some warm and cool colours which was a hallmark of Van Gogh, Monet and other impressionists.

There are plenty of artists on youtube who inspire me such as Malcolm Dewey, 

I never get bored of creating and find I am constantly challenged,

I teach kids now and then, usually the local home school group who are very quick to learn. I also like dabbling on my iPad either in the working out stages of a painting or just cartooning for fun.
